A Bit About Me

I started my journey into photography in 2006 while I was still at high-school. I went on a bus trip throughout Europe and I borrowed a 3MP Sony point and shoot camera, it had a tiny SD card. Venice was the highlight on that trip and from that point onward I decided I wanted to start taking pictures with the idea of preserving things before they are gone. I got my first camera in 2007, it was a Nikon D40, a 6MP entry level dslr that introduced me to the world of photography. I quickly moved onto a Nikon D300 as I started to get interested into landscape photography. As I landed my first job as an assistant photographer I moved onto my first full frame camera - Nikon D700. As a side job I became a wedding photographer and I was a professional photographer for 5 years. Around that time I got overburdened by the weight of my camera gear, lugging around 12kgs took the joy out of it for me. That led me to switch to a Fujifilm X100s which was a very liberating experience and introduced me to street photography. I eventually transition into a Fuji X-T20 and an X-T3. I started printing big and ran into the limitations of the Fuji cameras at the time which ultimately brought me to a Nikon Z7II which is the digital camera I use at the moment. I also spend a lot of time shooting medium format film on a Rolleicord II and a Pentax 6x7 which I enjoy immensely.
